09-10 School Year

To my future third graders: If you take a summer vacation, near or far, get a postcard to bring to school. Our first story is called "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" and we want to know how you did, too! Don't forget to read some of Steven Kellogg's Tall Tales. While reading look for exaggerations (where the author is stretching the truth). We will be writing our own vacation tall tale when we get back to school. Enjoy your summer, Mrs. Paola

Thank you boys and girls for a great year. You worked very hard. In your summer reading packet I put a Rita's Ice gift card for you. Take time to visit the library or go to a book store- just READ! Maybe you can do a book swap with some friends. Please return the reading book I gave you and your poster on the first day of school. Have fun with the project. Enjoy your summer. Shippen Manor Change
