Colonial Toys
The students stepped back in time and experienced life as a colonial student in a one room schoolhouse at Quiet Valley. They created toys, from whirligigs,quoits, corn husk dolls and drums, a knickerbox, 9 pins, a cup and ball to a thaumatrope and draughts and a game of Fox and Geese to complete our colonial times unit. We enjoyed playing these simple toys during indoor recess. Great projects!

Complete one out of two spelling activities tonight.
MATH: Adding 3 or more addends.

The Colonial toys and report are due on 11/22.
Our trip is Thusday! Arrive at school dressed and ready to go. Wear a coat and bring gloves it will be a crisp fall day. The schoolhouse is heated with a pot belly stove, but we will walk to the barn and the schoolhouse. Don't forget your lunch.
