We made the news!


Third-graders representing Joy Paola's homeroom at Oxford Central School and the entire community stand before a collection of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for those in need.
The project, an idea developed by this third grade class, resulted in more than 100 items being donated to local families and to the Caring Closet located in the United Methodist Church of Washington.

Field Trip Reminders
Please arrive to school on time.  We plan to board the bus by 8:45.  Chaperones who wish to ride the bus or follow should be here by 8:30.
Bring a paper bag lunch without cans or glass bottles.  Have your lunch in a grocery bag and labeled on the outside.  The lunches will be stored in a rubbermaid tote while we are on the tour.
Dress appropriately!  Have a sweatshirt that can be put on when it's cool in the morning and tied around if it warms up in the afternoon.  Wear sneakers.  There is a lot of walking. 
No electronics or cameras.  Waterloo does not have a gift shop, so don't bring money.
Remember to bring your manners and good behavior is a MUST!

Field trip reminder:
Trip is this Friday.
Be weather-wise when you dress(watch the weather report in the morning)
No extra money is needed
No electronic devises
Wear sneakers(lots of walking)
A paper bag lunch.  No lunch box, thermos, glass or cans.  Put your lunch into a plastic grocery bag to avoid ripped bags and put your name on the outside.  The lunches are collected and stored while we are on our tour. 

It takes teamwork to build bridges

In Reading, we
built bridges with K'Nex and teamwork like the crew in Pop's Bridge.  We learned everyone's role is important to build a bridge successfully!  We made Suspension, Beam, Truss, Arch and Cantilever Bridges!    Thanks Mr. D.W.!
