Happy Friday!

Surprise!  The students are bringing home their Friday Folders filled with today's tests, our butterfly test, our Tall Tale packet, a new reading log and a Pizza Hut coupon (if they returned Sept.'s log) and our NEW book report information and book.  Please keep the book report papers in a safe place.  The students are encouraged to bring their book report book back and forth to school.   The project is due: Oct. 28th.

OYA BASKETBALL SIGN-UPS

It's that time already and we're going to try something new.  Everyone's schedule is very busy so instead of having sign-ups at the municipal building contact  Bonnie for a registration form, print it, fill it out, and drop it and your check for $40.00 in the big teal box at the entrance to Wilkinson field.  Basketball is for grades 3-8 only.

Just another reminder...

Our Apple Festival will be on Monday, Sept. 26 from 8:45-10:15. We have 5 rotating stations and we will assign parents as they arrive. Between the two classes we have 38 kids that will visit each station. We could use a few more "snacks". Hostess apple pies are a big hit, individual applesauce cups are easy to manage, bags of dried apple chips, spoons, apple juice or cider, apple pie, cobbler or donuts, even ice cream for a la mode! Plenty of people have signed up for caramel dip and we have plenty of plates. Don't forget your 2 assigned washed, bagged and labeled apples. Send me an email so I can be prepared.

What a great day! Parents your child has a packet of papers for you to sign and return. They also have a reading log to begin reading and recording (R/R) on. Keep that log in a safe place and turn it in on the first day of October to earn a Pizza Hut coupon! The star project is due Monday 9/12. Have your children tell you about the Rights/Responsibilty worksheet in their own words then sign and return it. Check out their agenda books for homework. I sent home a 1st day letter to fill you in on how it went today!
